Solomon Islands – A New Mission
Fr. Ruben Quisver has arrived at the Solomon Islands to start the presence of the Institute of the Incarnate Word there allowing the redemptive sacrifice of Christ to reach new places and communities through the Holy Mass and the sacraments. In the upcoming weeks, Fr Ruben will go with the bishop in order to know the place and the people of the community where Our Religious Family will serve.
The entire Institute, while appreciating the exemplary availability of Fr. Ruben in this new and difficult mission, pledge our prayers for the fruits of his perseverance and the fruitfulness of his ministry.

In the House of Monastic Formation, Tuscany – Italy
St Pio of Pietrelcina use to say: “The world could remain without the sun, but not without the Holy Mass.” We thank God for the first Mass of the Monk, Luis Maria Prado in our Monastery, concelebrated by the Monks Tristan Gellonch IVE and Juan Manuel Rossi IVE. After the mass, there was the usual veneration of hands. May God bless the world with many and holy priests!

Camps
Summer camp
From January 8th-13th, we had a camp for girls, in which 20 girls, 10 Sisters, and 5 volunteers participated. During these days they were able to live an intense spirit of dedication and joy. Camping is a great school where the spirit can be formed since it helps to condition character and to grow in virtues such as total self-denial, charity, friendship, generosity, service and joy.

Ongoing formations meetings:
Anjara, Jordan
Mother Mary of Nazareth, Provincial Superior in the Middle East, gave a course in Arabic for the Sisters of our Province in the Middle East, from January 3 to 5 in Anjara – Jordan, on “the preventive system” of Saint John Bosco. In turn, Sister Farah Al Masih (Joy of Christ) prepared the material into Spanish and Arabic language in order to get each of the Sisters to have their own copy in both languages. The course was attended by nine Egyptian Sisters who are missionaries in: Anjara (Jordan), Yaffo (Holy Land), Gaza (Holy Land) and Aleppo (Syria).
At the end of the course the Egyptian Sisters who are of the Coptic rite participated in the solemnity of the Coptic Christmas. In the Coptic rite, the Solemnity of the Birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ, is on January 7, since the Coptics, follow the Eucharistic celebrations not from the Gregorian calendar, but the Julian calendar. Father Marcos Salame, IVE presided over the Divine Liturgy in the Coptic rite, and at the end of the Holy Mass, a celebration was held with the entire Religious Family present in Jordan, together with the children of the Home of Our Lady of Hope.
