Beginning of the monastic presence in Valvanera (La Rioja – Spain)

With great joy we are pleased to informed all of you about the presence of our Contemplatives monks in the historical Monastery of Our Lady of Valvanera (La Rioja, Spain), with the finality reinforcing the pastoral attention to the Sanctuary of Our Lady. The community members are Fr. Agoustin Prado IVE, Fr Andre Bersanetti and Brother Cristobal Armijo.

The presence of our Monks began on November 1^st 2017 , the solemnity of All Saints, with the celebration of the mass in the Monastery Shrine, the mass was presided over by Bishop Carlos Escribano the ordinary of the Dioceses of Calahorra and La Calzada-Logroño.

Floral games in the oratory “DIVINO NIÑO” in Peru

Holiness is joy. During 4 Saturdays in a row, recently the Floral Games in our beloved oratory finished; it is very interesting to notice that the major part of the participants were older people, who beyond their limitations and age participated with enthusiasm, generosity and ingenious and overall with a great spirit in each of the competitions. With no doubt, we could say that the fruits of these games were countless to each one in their path to holiness.

On Tuesday November 7^th we held a presentation of the book “Argentina y su Sombra”, written by Juan Francisco Guevara, a Colonel who became and died as a Novice, was published by IVE Press Argentina. The presentation was opened by his grandson, seminarian Agustin Ibañez followed by lawyer Claudio Rossi.

Prayer group in St. Paul – Paphos, Cyprus

On Sunday 5th November we celebrated the 6th anniversary of our Divine Mercy Prayer Group (DMPG) at St. Paul’s. We got together for some prayer, food and music.
We also want to thank the DMPG from Nicosia who came all the way to join us … and the El Shaddai and Overseas Filipino Workers’ groups.

Visiting houses in the last popular mission in Aleppo

November 6, we visited Nahauam, a widow with two small children to care for. More than a month ago, Nahauam had to leave work because she had severe pain in the spine. When she went to the doctor, she was told that she had a problem with a disk and needs surgery. Several women in Aleppo have presented the same problem. Because of the lack of water, they were and are forced to climb several floors with heavy buckets in their hands. Today, Nahauam remains bedridden. Her sister came from afar to take care of her since she has no one else in Aleppo, besides her two children. She still has a month to rest to recover well from the operation. We commend her and all Christians in Aleppo to your prayers.
